Norman Rudolph Pfeifer died December 31, 2020. Born to Emmett Edward and Anna Myrtle (Holland) Dec. 13, 1922 in Clearwater, MO, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Wanda Ruth (Blagg), brothers Sterling, Burton, and Davis, and granddaughter Molly Kumming. Dearly loved father and father-in-law to Michael (Pamela), Deborah Kumming (Mark), Susan Worley, and Davis (Tracy); beloved grandfather of Brittany Worley, Benjamin Kumming, Anna Coleman, Emily Crawford, Jack Pfeifer and Andrew Payne; great-grandfather to Kaylee Walden, Ewan Coleman, Eli Coleman, Eleanor Kumming, Rose Crawford and Ingrid Payne. He leaves behind many loved cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was most proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A lifelong Cardinal fan and natural athlete, he learned to downhill ski at 67 and played volleyball into his 70s. He was a killer ping-pong player, skilled bowler and pinochle master. He retired from Anheuser-Busch. He and Wanda loved children and young people. Their house was full of life, laughter, and friends. A connoisseur of fried chicken, he regarded it as some regard the Holy Grail. He enjoyed the outdoors and visiting the Botanical Gardens. His humor, good spirit and resilience will be with us always.
Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel, Wednesday, January 6, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Private burial Thursday, January 7. In lieu of flowers or attendance, contributions to Shriner’s Hospital, Missouri Botanical Gardens or Missouri Department of Conservation are appreciated.

Dear family, I cherish the time spent with Uncle Norman and Aunt Wanda whom I love so much. I have so many wonderful memories and so enjoyed our times together. I will forever hold them dearly in my heart. God’s Grace, peace and love to all of you. Med (Medwick Burton) Pfeifer, Burton’s only son.

What a true gentleman. I remember him doing the Wee bowling with Charlie K. and the gang while at Garden Villa. It was a pleasure to be in his company. My deepest sympathy to the family.
