Perko, Emil A. asleep in Jesus, a lifelong Christian and servant of the Lord, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016.
Beloved husband of Jean M. Perko (nee Knaup) and the late Shirley M. Perko (nee Smith); loving father of Sharon Perko-Davis and the late David A. (Sharon) Perko; dear grandfather of Christine Perko, Brian (Mary), Bradley (Lacy) and David (Toni Frady) Davis; dear stepfather of Janice (Ted) Herod Habeck and William (Jane) Herod; dear great-grandfather of Ruth, Sophia, A.J. and Jacob Davis; dear uncle and friend.
Mr. Perko served in the U.S. Army 106th Infantry 422 Regiment Company H and was a P.O.W. in Germany at the Battle of the Bulge. An active member of McKinley High School Reunion Group known as the “Forty Niners” and St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Services: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd. on Monday, July 11, 4-8 p.m., then taken to St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church (7100 Morgan Ford) on Tuesday, July 12 for visitation at 9:30 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. Interment Concordia Cemetery. Memorials to St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, appreciated.
