Fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother of the Church on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, age 87. Daughter of Arpin and Margaret Link. Preceded in death by her first husband Ronald (1968) and her second husband William E. Otto (2011). Survived by her three children Deborah Smith (Dennis), Terry Czerniewski (Mary) and Robert Czerniewski (Laurie). Beloved step-mother to five children; Jeffrey Otto, Jana Otto, Mark Otto (Fran), Meribeth Otto and Michelle Otto (1994). Loving grandmother to Ian Smith (Candice), Ashley Burch (Ryan), Danielle Westfall (Justin), Joshua Czerniewski (Lauren), Nicole Neager (Ryan), and Austin Czerniewski (Hannah), Jack and Kyle Stiebel; great-grandmother to Matilda, Mirabelle, Asher, Deacon and Blythe; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Shirley was a lifetime resident of St. Louis. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and step-mother to her  children, who enjoyed spending time with her many friends. Shirley was also a dedicated volunteer for the Mill Hill Missionary Fathers, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to de Greeff Hospice House at Mercy South Medical Center, 10010 Kennerly Rd., St. Louis, Mo. 63128, in recognition of the care and comfort provided to Shirley and her family.

Services: Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Road Tuesday, April 25, 9:30 a.m. to Cure of Ars Church, 670 South Laclede Station Road, St. Louis, MO for 10:00 a.m. Mass.  Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.  Visitation Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
