Donald J. Organ (Dongo) passed away peacefully at his home in Saint Louis, Missouri on March 18, 2022, holding the hand of his beloved wife of 22 years, Dolores (Lorie) Organ.
Don was the dear brother of Bonnie, Janice, Charlene, Sandra, Gloria, and the late Norman and Kenneth. He was the loving father of Deborah Organ, Kimberly Martin, Micheal Organ, and Donald Organ; loving stepfather of Lisa, Mike, Melanie, Timothy, and Amber; adoring grandfather of JoAnn, William, Donnell, Tommi, and Donna; loving step-grandfather to Paul (BillyBob), Heather, Courtney, and Amanda; adoring great grandfather of 13; great-great-grandfather of 5. He was proceeded in death by his parents Charles and Emily (LaHue) Organ. He was a loving brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Don was proud to be an American and loved the American flag. He was always proud to display and celebrate it for the country he loved so much. He will be missed by us all.
Don requested a “Celebration of Life” to be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. Details will be sent out to friends and family when the date is set.

To my beloved brother. Although we were not close due to our age differences, I always admired you. I loved hearing all the stories about you as a young man. You were adventurous, scholarly and very orenery. That orenerinous carried over into your adult life and you kept us laughing. We love you and will miss you. ❤ ‘Til we meet again….rest well.

Have a wonderful journey Don. Although we lost contact over the years, I’ve no doubt your existence on the next plain will be impressive! I had the honor of being your son-in-law several years ago, and my love toward you and your family still runs deep. You will be missed.
Don, my best friend and brother. On to your next adventure, of which you have had many. Thanks for always looking out for me in High School, for making me jump off the high diving board at the Clinton, MO pool, and for letting me walk behind you through Budd Park on the way to the Gladstone “show” when we lived in Kansas City, MO. You have always made the family proud to be able to claim we actually had a real 007 Agent we also called brother. Well deserved happy travels dear brother.
Don was always the older brother, we were most of the time looking for him at supper. He could scare you and make you laugh at the same time. I had no idea as a child I would learn how interesting he was as a man. Wished we had more time to talk.
Maybe another time will come.

So sorry to hear of Don’s passing. Remember all the good times my brother Bill, Don, Kenny and I had in the old Northeast area. I remember well Don coming to work at the Army Map Service (Defense Mapping Agency) with others from NEHS and his transfer to the St. Louis Office. He was one of a kind and will be sorely missed.
Dad, I have loved the adventures, journeys and awesome life experiences you’ve shared with me growing up. So many wonderful and heart warming memories that will live on as you do in our hearts. You are always with me and made me who I am today, along with some great parts of mom (Snookie). Hope you are able to see her.
