Survived by his parents Kim and Lee Renfrow, Jeff and Diane Nunley. Brothers Beau Nunley, Lee Renfrow Jr; Sisters Katarina Lavacek, Jyssica Ogden, Isheree Candelaria, Allie Colone, Melissa and MacKenzie Renfrow; Daughters Jade and Zara Nunley, and their mother Mary Shocklee; and his Girlfriend Nicole Lacourte.
The only thing Zaq loved more than his two daughters, family, and friends was his love of music. It flowed through him. Starting out in band class, the Ninjanauts, his fraternity Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, The Driftaways, and finally Heavy Step Dub Collective. He played with many–was loved by all. He shared his gift and love of music with everyone. His free time was spent playing his saxophone and other instruments, spending time with his daughters, going on adventures with his girlfriend Nicole and all his friends. His free spirit and kind heart was contagious. Laughter and love were never far behind him. He was one of a kind and everyone’s favorite weirdo.

I new Zaq before he was even in this world, and now leaves a void behind. I know he is a great loss to the family, but here’s to hope of many special and unforgettable memories for you all. Praying that God’s peace sustains this time of wondering why this life was limited to what it was on this earth, and hope of rejoining this life again one day. My heart is broken to hear this . I met Zaq and Beau several years ago through my son Zach and Daughter Taylor and I instantly just adored them both. Zaq was so sweet and even though a little quieter than Beau had a spirit about himi that shine through so no words needed. The world lost a bright spirit and I pray for his parents for I know this pain that is driving you today . It’s a place no one wants to be and we try to maneuver it the best we can. I wish I had some great word of inspiration bit I am reaching to find sense of any of it . Days will become brighter and bad days will be replaced with good memories as time recovers your heart.

I’ll always remember the calm and exciting energy he brought with him wherever he went. He was always down for an adventure and said yes to life. He created a gravitational pull of loving creative people and we are all so lucky to have known him. We are burdened with a void but he is beyond this realm and swimming in symphonies of saxophones now. I love you zaq.
