Travis July 20, 1972. The day you came into our lives. Because at that time there was so many boys in the family, we hoped for a girl. But when I first saw you in the nursery and saw what a beautiful baby boy you were, my heart was full of love for you. As you grew up, you always wanted to learn as much as you could and be perfect in everything you did. After high school, you went to SMS-MS and MU. After graduation from MU, you were picked to go to Japan to teach for three years. I remember that day at the airport how hard it was to see you leave and go so far away, but I had to let you live your life, and follow your dreams. I never said I LOVE you enough, but I hope you knew how much you are loved. My heart is broken, and life will never be the same without you. I will miss your wit, your sense of humor, and the cute way you smiled. I love you son and miss you so much. Dad

I worked with Travis for several years at Elsevier. I remember Travis for his whimsical socks and bow ties, his quiet, dry wit, and his calm and assured demeanor. He was always willing to collaborate and was an essential part of the foundation for Sherpath development. I remember being delighted at the chance to work with him again after he joined Learningmate. My heart goes out to you and I’m so very sorry.
Travis was an incredible co-worker. While he was quiet for the most part, he would come out with brilliant sarcasm and dry wit that would have you in stitches. He brought in the best cookies, too. He was smart, capable, collaborative, and just an all around good guy. His bowties and socks brought be great joy as well. My heart goes out to the Nimmo family and to his partner and friends. He will be remembered fondly! I’ll drink mai tais in his honor!
