61, passed away February 5, 2018 at his home, where he was surrounded by his family and friends.
He leaves his wife of 18 years, Nancy (Parla) Nickell; his mother Chloe Nickell; sisters Donna (Paul) Westhoff, Linda Miller (Murry Morose), Susan (Larry) Buehler and sister-in-law Jean (David) Nickell; brothers Dennis (Lucia) Nickell and Joe (Dana) Nickell; his nieces and nephews Jessica, Dana, Lauren, Karen, Lisa, Kim, Angela, Katie, Scott, Jason and Ryan, whom their uncle Gerry adored, as well as his great nieces and nephews. Also he leaves 3 step-sons, John (Laura) Weir, Steven (Yenny) Passanante, Wayne (Maria) Marble, and all their children, who knew him as grandpa Gerry. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Nickell Jr. and his brother David Nickell; his maternal grandparents, Carl and Esther Brewer and paternal grandparents Norman Sr. and Thelma Nickell.
Gerry grew up in Affton, MO with his loving family and many neighborhood friends. He attended St. George Catholic Church and grade school. He graduated in 1975 from Bayless High School. He was previously employed by SSM as a Senior Computer Operator in the Clayton Operations Dept. for 29 years.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS FUNERAL HOME AFFTON CHAPEL, Thursday, February 8, from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. George Catholic Church in Affton on February 9, at 9:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
