Nancy Sandlin Barr (Johnston)  74, passed Sunday, June 5 following a battle with melanoma. She is survived by her parents, Homer and Erna Johnson (Hager), daughter, Grace Brown (Sandlin), son-in-law and daughter Tom Jeffers and Lori Jeffers (Sandlin), son-in-law and daughter Greg Reece and Pamela Reece (Barr) step-son-in-law and step-daughter, Pete McCue and Carol McCue (Barr), and step-son and wife, Jay and Carol Barr, sister and brother-in-law Joe Staten and Karen Staten (Johnston). Nancy had 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Sandlin, and second husband Forrest Barr, and her brothers Kevin Johnston, Bruce Johnston and Brian Johnston, step-son Michael Barr, and grandson, Zachary Jeffers.  Nancy worked at Westport Pools as a Payroll Associate. She enjoyed dancing, crocheting, going out to dinner with friends and babysitting her grandson, Liam.

Also known as Queen of the One-Liners, Nancy loved flamingos, Tina Turner, Frank Sinatra and Elvis. You could always rely on her for a good recipe and solid life advice. She was a devoted Catholic. She had an excellent sense of humor and will be missed by many.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 9th, 4-8pm at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry, St. Louis, MO 63129.   Funeral procession will leave from Kutis at 10:15am Friday morning, and will proceed to Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3130 Parkwood Ln, Maryland Heights, MO 63043, for an 11am Funeral Mass. Burial will immediately follow the Funeral Mass at Lakewood Park Cemetery, 7755 Harlan Ave, St. Louis, MO 63123.
