Naegeli, Alan C. “Al”, 68, passed away on November 28th, 2020 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Sheila (Hall) Naegeli. Loving father of Lauren (Justin) Joseph, Andrew (Holly) Naegeli, and Melissa Naegeli. Proud grandfather of one grandchild on the way. Dear brother of Edward (Kelli) Naegeli. Dear brother-in-law of Denise (Marshall) Kaufman and Brenda (Mike) Vanover. He is preceded in death by his parents Donald C. and Louise J. Naegeli. Al was a loving and devoted husband and father who cherished spending time with his family. He enjoyed the simple things in life, and found fulfillment by helping others. Al loved fishing, going to the beach, tending to his garden, walking his dog Tucker, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals while drinking a cold Budweiser. He was a huge Rolling Stones fan, and was ecstatic when he went to see them perform in Kansas City in 2015. Al retired in 2014 after working over 40 years as a federal employee for the Department of the Army where he was proud to have served his country. A private memorial service to be held at Kutis South County Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Steven Vanover Foundation, a non-profit organization established in memory of Al’s beloved nephew Steven (stevenvanover.org, or by sending to 1448 Gardiner Lane, Suite 102, Louisville, KY 40213).

My Condolences Sheila from Linda and I. It was a hard fought battle and I admire you for supporting Al through these last 4 years. I still liked bringing up the days to Al remembering those days I lived above him on Goethe and stealing his light bulbs in the basement. I’m sure you heard him tell you about that. Good memories. He is in a better place. Take care of yourself Sheila and please come to our annual X-mas parties especially after this virus issue is over. God Bless P.S. Did I exceed my word allowance:-)
Sheila, My and Louise’s hearts go out to you and the family. Al was such a great guy! It is hard to imagine that it has been over 44 years since he and I first met, but it is still too soon for him to be gone.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Thinking and praying about your entire family.
I am so sad for your loss. Al was my boss and friend and I loved working with him. He and I related on many levels and I felt like family. When you can smile again at the funny stories your healing has begun.

“I’m standing in my Savior’s shadow
He is watching over me
I feel the rain, I hear the thunder
As he cries for me
I’m standing in my Savior’s shadow
Grace will lead to where I’m free
I take his hand, we walk together
And his light shines on me….” ….Song by Blake Shelton
