Beloved husband of Evelyn Mueth (nee Faerber) for over 68 years; loving father of Linda (the late W. Thomas) Imhoff, Patricia (Steve) Dickens, Nancy Mueth, Sharon (Charles) Petersen and Rosanne (Philip) Sampson; adoring grandfather of Brian, Becky, Eric, Christopher, Nicholas, Chris, Kevin, Hannah, Duane, Benjamin, Deanne, Jennifer, Nathan, Molly and Melissa; cherished great-grandfather of 19; dear brother of Thomas Mueth and the late Robert (surviving Dolores) Mueth and Mary (Frank) Kopp. Our dearest uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many. The family would like to thank Maurice for all the love and care given to Gene.

Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Friday, July 1 at 9:30 am. to St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church for 10:00 am. Mass. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 4-8 pm.  Gene was a friend to all firefighters, contributions may be made to Backstoppers in his memory.
