Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the age of 81.

Beloved wife for 58 years to W. Steve Morovitz; dear mother of Steve (Cindy), Brian, Lisa (Brett), Daniel (Maria), and the late Linda; dear adoring grandmother of Alec, (Shelby), Riley, Christa, Gwen, Brady, Annalisa, Samantha, Charlotte, Celina and Benedikt; wonderful daughter of the late Lawrence and Marie Oster; dear sister of Larry (Judy) Oster and the late Shirley Oster; our dearest sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Mary Ann had an incredible mind and had a fantastic knack for organization which won her praise as a legal secretary right out of school and the eye of a certain handsome someone!  Mary Ann and Steve were married November 30, 1963 and she utilized those wonderful gifts to raise some pretty awesome kids and family-yes they are writing this now:) While a mother’s work is not ever done, once her children left home she was able to devote even more of her time to be the best servant of God she could.  The biggest role she played was becoming involved with the Ladies of Charity at St. Catherine Laboure beginning in 1977.  She was a local board member, treasurer, and president then served the National Ladies of Charity as board member and president.  Mary Ann loved traveling the world for this incredible organization.  She was also a part of the Stephen Ministries and Louisettes at St. Catherine Laboure

With all her incredible accomplishments the one role she treasured the most was sharing her life with her wonderful husband, Steve. The job of a married couple is to help their spouse get into heaven. We were witness to the struggles, joys, challenges, blessings, heartbreaks, and celebrations of what that journey looks like.  In everything she did, as wife, mother, grandmother and friend she did her best to live a life dedicated to God and to become the best version of herself while encouraging everyone else to do the same.  She knew no stranger.

The family expresses special thanks to Mary Ann’s caregivers, Dr. Elliot Abbey M.D. at St. Luke’s who, with God’s guidance, was able to keep our beloved Mary Ann with us for the last 6 years and for the nurses and staff at St. Anthony deGreeff Hospice House!  With these earthly angels, Mary Ann was comfortable and tenderly cared for until the very end.
