Beloved husband for nearly 52 years of Nancy Mellor (nee Wagner); loving father of David Mellor, Jr., Ann (Jeff) Frankowski and Michael Mellor; dear grandfather of Ben and Sam Frankowksi, Hannah and M.J. Mellor; dear brother of Kent, Patrick, Bob, John and Mark Mellor; dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.
Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel 10151 Gravois, Friday April 15 11:30 AM. Interment JB National Cemetery. Memorials to Siteman Cancer Center, Tunnel to Towers Foundation or Gary Sinise Foundation appreciated. Visitation Thursday 4:00-9:00 PM.
I sure am sorry to hear about Dave. I went to Mehlville with him. We conversed often on Facebook. He was also a fellow Marine. Semper Fi my friend. God speed.

For the brief time I met him, Mr Mellor treated me like family, doors wide open and very welcoming. He raised an incredible man in Dave Jr whom I’ve spent a large chunk of my life with. His intelligence, work ethic, and welcoming personality lives on in him. My prayers go out to Dave Sr and his wonderful family.
My heart sure goes out to Nancy and the entire Mellor family as Dave will be remembered fondly. Extra hugs to his grandchildren who I could tell he adored.

Uncle Dave was a stand up guy and always encouraged the youth to be their best They just don’t make them like him anymore God definitely has an amazing soldier for His army now !

So sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. I worked with Dave in my Color-Art days and we shared a lot of common interests. My deepest sympathies to the family and all of Dave’s many friends.
Dave and his brother grew up in Glasgow Village with me , we used to always play baseball and football when we were kids
I am an old friend of the family from Glasgow I also ride Patriot Guard I will be there

I discovered my brother David some 10 years ago thanks to my brother John who located me in Foresthill following my retirement. I had the pleasure to visit with David and Nancy at their Missouri home one summer while on a travel-trailer vacation back east. We subsequently began occasional phone conversations and I followed the progression of his medical treatments. David was a good soul with a warm heart who I will deeply miss as a loving brother.
DAVE WAS A GOOD FRIEND EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE NOT STAY IN TOUCH.
HE WILL BE MISSED
