Timothy Leo McLaughlin, born August 31, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri, passed on January 2, 2022.

Tim is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Connie (nee White) and their sons, Tim (Anne) and Chris (Suzanne) and his beloved grandchildren; Anna and Owen. He was a brother, a brother-in-law, an uncle, a cousin, and a friend to many.    He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1970 through 1971, serving in the 529th Military Intelligence Unit.  A devout Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Tim also volunteered his time as a PCR teacher. His years as confirmation coordinator at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Owensville, MO were some his most fulfilling.  He coached youth soccer in St. Louis until his sons had moved away for college. To stay involved, he became a referee. His love of the game was unparalleled.

He was a student of life; a world traveler who enjoyed immersing himself in the culture and foods of wherever he visited. He knew how to enjoy a nice glass of wine. Tim loved music of all types, but his preference was classical: Bach, Mozart and Beethoven were in regular rotation.

A life-long scholar, Tim graduated from the University of Missouri – St. Louis, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He earned his Master’s in Business Administration from the Washington University Olin School of Business. He was one of the lucky ones who truly loved his job; it was his passion. He spent most of his 47-year career in the tech/cyber industry and was considered to be one of the best in his field as a cyber security consultant. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing with his kids and grandchildren. He particularly enjoyed walking his property with his furry, four-legged pals: Emily, Java, Marcus, Hershey, Roxy, Ginger, and his beloved Spencer by his side. Never one to miss an opportunity for a snarky reply or the drop a of bad “dad joke,” Tim’s smile and quick wit will be missed.

Services: A celebration of life is to be planned in the future. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
