Harriet Kohnen McGuire, 99, December 19, 2022, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. Beloved husband of the late Thomas Francis McGuire, mother and mother-in law of Mary McGuire (Dennis Brand), Frances Welek (John), Patricia McGuire (Robert Sciortino), Kathryn Diemer (David), and Maureen Monaghan (David), dear grandmother of nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Joseph Jr. Kohnen, Margie Heppermann, and the late Paul Kohnen, Teresa Horenkamp, Pat Goldkamp, Carl Kohnen, John Kohnen, Bob Kohnen and Dory Beckham. Beloved sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Harriet proudly served her country in WWII as a Navy nurse. She was a nurse for many years, including working in the polio wards. She was a St. Louis Zoo docent for over 25 years. She was happiest when surrounded by her family, especially her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by all. Services: Funeral Mass 10:00 am Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 751 N. Jefferson St., Florissant.  Donations in lieu of flowers to Washington University School of Medicine Dean Perlmutter Fund.
