72, crossed over into eternal life on Thursday, August 8, 2019 surrounded by family. He was born April 20, 1947 in St. Louis, MO and proudly served aboard the U.S.S. Shangri-La Aircraft Carrier for the United States Navy during the Vietnam War as well as belonged to the Naval Reserve. He retired as a Maintenance Supervisor from the St. Louis County Government and although he was very passionate about everything he’s done, his most favorite title to date was Grandpa. He was a faithful member of the South County Baptist Church. Richard will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Annabelle Kay and his children, Stephanie (Kevin) Burgos, Sarah (Michael) Williams, Chrissy (Travis) Gettinger, and Terra Kautz.  Richard will also be fondly remembered by his six grandchildren: Brennan, Jace, Reid, Niall, Nolan, and Tenley, and also by his stepmother Jean McBee, brother Gary (Heip) McBee, sister Debra Hogland, stepsister Sandi Mouser, stepbrother Jeff (Teri) Mouser, as well as his nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Richard was preceded in death by his mother Laverne McBee, father Richard McBee Sr., and sister Ruth Ann Metcalf.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, from 3 – 4pm for family and 4 – 8pm for the public, at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123.  Entombment with Military Honors Thursday, August 22, at 2:00 PM.
