I was blessed to have Bill’s friendship for over 70 years. I am certain my friend in now with Jesus in heaven.

Beth, I am so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. I know he was very special.
Brothers grew closer as they aged. Big brother enjoyed hanging out with Billy. He loved following him around as they enjoyed Billy’s properties. David was thrilled to observe how bright this little bro was. Many exciting trips to St Louis were spent following Uncle Bill. All his Dallas family enjoyed the excitement. Thanks to Sue and kids for their soul wrenching care for him.

Losing a loved one is never easy – especially a dear family member like my Uncle Bill.
Even when you know it’s coming it shocks you to the core.
For years now I have been the constant nag at my father’s ear, “Go visit your brother”. “Call your brother.” It became so much I felt like the one yelling ‘the sky is falling’. But today I know we took every opportunity to visit Bill while he was well.
His daughter Beth would recount stories to me daily of her visits with him. The strength it took of her to go every day and my aunt to selflessly care for him in their home. It was amazing to observe.
Beth told me of the twinkle in his eyes. How he grew more childlike and somehow more carefree.
Then my cousin Chris stepped in to help. Working remotely from their home to help Sue out. Heroes these ladies are.
Once confined to his home and his recliner, now I picture my uncle flying fearlessly through the Heavens. And over us. God be with you, Uncle, and bless all the friends and family who celebrate your life.
