On 12 Oct 2020, Major Donald Lavern Rapier USMC(Ret.) received orders to report to his new duty station. He was preceded by his father Grover Cleveland Raper, mother Della of Maud, Oklahoma. Along with brothers, Clarence Raper, Thedus, and Elvis. Donald born in Maud, Oklahoma on January 3, 1929. He is survived by his wife, the former Marie Ann Baldwin, from Berlin, his children Michael(Suzanne), Craig(Michelle), Karen(Nancy), and Todd; grandchildren Lucy and Andrew.

Visitation will be Saturday 17 October, 2020 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with services following at 3:00 PM at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Road St Louis Mo 63123. Donald‘s wishes to be interred at Ft. Barrancas National Cemetery.
So sorry to hear of Don’s passing. I was neighbors to Don and Marie at Caribe for years. It was always so good to see their smiling faces and listen to their stories. I know Don will be missed.

Don and I shared many laughs together at Caribe. He told great stories to us all. His kindness, happy attitude and love of all will be missed. Love to Marie and God be with the family.
My sympathy to all the Rapiers. Marie and Don have been great friends to Bill and I all through Destin and here at Caribe. I don’t know what I would have done without Don’s help when my husband Bill passed away in November of 2014. Every one should experience great friends like we have had with the Rapiers.
