(Linda) Lenhardt Jr., Nancy A. Piffel and Mike J. (Laura) Lenhardt; cherished Grandma of Angie, Erica (Tim), Stacey (Matt), Ryan (Stephanie), Kari (Danny), Daniel, Sara and Nick, and great-grandma of Mason, Nathan, Heidi, Jacob, Quinn and Harrison; our dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, great-great-aunt, great-great-great-aunt and dear friend to many.
Services: Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Cathoic Church at a later date. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital appreciated. A Kutis South County Chapel service.
She was truly one of a kind. Will miss her smile.
My Aunt Babe was my closest dearest friend. She was the most kind and loving person. Everyone was her friend. She could make you laugh at your most down moment. There will never be another Aunt Babe. She is my “angel” and I will miss her terribly. Gloria
Aunt Babe was a wonderful friend to my mom and our family. When I picture her, I see her smiling with a little giggle. Every time I visited my mom, I’d pass by her house just two doors down. I’d always smile just thinking of her. She was more like an older sister to my mom and another aunt to us. As a child, I remember when she got together with her sisters, there always was lots of laughter, like the family in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, only Italian. I believe she always mopped her floors on her hands and knees. She said, “look at my knees from doing all this scrubbing!” As a child, I didn’t know, they looked like knees to me. Are they ever beautiful? Back then people took pride in how they kept their home. And hers was spotless. She was wise counsel, and an encourager, always seeing the best in us and our children. She loved her family, her grandkids and great grands. And she loved my mother. They looked out for each other and mom was usually her driver to church. Her memories are woven in the fabric of our lives. Facing her own death, she thought of others even then, calling my mom and reminiscing about the good times they had, telling her goodbye. She blessed many people and is an example of how to love well.
