She was a role model mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and deeply loved her family which always came first.  Devoted Catholic and member of many parishes in St. Louis including Seven Holy Founders, and St. Stanislaus Polish Church, which included meeting with Pope John Paul II in Rome on their behalf.  Lifelong active member of Affton and St. Louis community, including Red Hat Society, and volunteer at many St. Louis venues including Sappington House, Fox and Muny Theatres.  She loved and lived life to the fullest, and was everyone’s favorite to be with.  Camille was a class of her own, fun-loving, unforgettable and will be deeply missed.

Mother, a fun loving traveling companion, and I traveled together many times. We traveled to Rome, Vatican, Villa d’Este Tivoli Gardens, Florence, Pompeii, Paris, Chartres, Versailles, Villa Vicomte, Cologne, London, Bath, and Stonehenge. Rome was special. Mom arranged an audience with Pope John Paul II; it took her six months to make arrangements through the Polish Pope John Paul II Society. The Rome trip had its challenges; a tropical storm in Houston grounded departing flights. She prayed and we arrived in Rome for the pre-schedule papal audience. Her mission was to hand delivered an important message to the Polish Pope about the fate of her adopted St Stanislaus Polish Imminent Parish. The papal audience was a very spiritual uplifting spontaneous charismatic experience–parishioners bursting into song when introduced by their respective Cardinal representative– unlike most Catholic scripted events. I remember her doing yoga each morning before we set out. Familiarly referred as the “Lee Thing”, continental breakfast, a courtesy provided by hotels, could also be a continental lunch because of her big purse. I was the appointed look-out for monitoring waiters as she filler her purse with food. She was always so beautiful, the embodiment of Mariana Dietrich. To get her attention for a photograph, I’d say, “Mariana it is time for your close-up”. German tourist would always step back and stare. She loved seeing “Lion King” in London, touring museums and cathedrals…always taking notes and asking questions. A careful planner, months before going to Poland with the Red Hats Society, she took on the challenge to speak Polish. Before she died, we revisited all these memories of these trips together….

Services: Mass at Seven Holy Founders at 12:30 p.m. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. Contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association appreciated.
