Kunes, Bernard J. “Benny”

age 84, was born in St. Louis, MO on April 15, 1931, baptized into the hope of Christ’s resurrection surrounded by his family and loved ones, on Thursday, April 14, 2016.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife Rose (nee Homsy) and a daughter Christine Kunes; loving fiancé of Judy Russell; loving and proud father of Adrienne (Jeff) Mazdra and  Bernard J. II (Fanny) Kunes; loving and proud grandfather of Heather (Darrel) Nelson, Kimberly (Ryan)  Klepac, Deanna Mazdra (Justin  Barron), Nicholas Heimos (Heather Chatterton) and Chelsea Kunes; loving great-grandfather of Sophia, Ava, Aiden, Sutton, Jason and Jackson; our dear brother, brother-in-law,  uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Gido, you will be dearly missed. Heaven is your new forever home with Tete and Chris.

Mr. Kunes served in the U.S. Navy, owner of Kunes Painting and  Drywall, active member of civic  bereavement groups, Shriners Clown Unit and American Legion Post #15.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. on Tuesday, April 19, 9:30 a.m. to Queen of All Saints Catholic Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment J.B National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Shriners  Hospital for Children, 4400 Lake Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110,  www.shrinershospitalforchildren.org, or the de Greeff Hospice House, 10024 Kennerly Rd., St. Louis, MO 63128.
