Kriegshauser, Walter J. 90, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church, on Tuesday, December 12, 2017.  Beloved husband of 69 years to Alvera (nee Heiling); dear father of Dayna (Gene) Cogorno; and the late Walter (survived by Susannah) Kriegshauser; dear grandfather of Ken (Angie) Kriegshauser, Christina (Matt) Hendrickson, Katy (Steve) Schubert and David (Kelsey) Cogorno; cherished great-grandfather of Kevin, Macy, Addison, Sophie, Luca and Mason.

Walter served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the atomic bomb testing on the USS Saratoga. After 42 years of work at Laclede Gas, he worked a second career at the Kutis Funeral Home until age 89.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Friday, December 15, 9:30 a.m. to St. Martin of Tours Church, 610 W. Ripa Ave., 63125 for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Stray Rescue or the charity of your choice appreciated. Visitation Thursday, 4- 8 p.m.
