Uncle Dolph enjoyed life and was proud of his wife/marriage, his career, his children, and his home. He was an exceptional soccer player, and loved his dogs, boating, and life at the lake. Always an eager conversationalist, he enjoyed socializing. Aunt Irma – you and Uncle Dolph set a good example for married couples, being married for more than 60 years! He will be missed by many, but especially you. I am sorry for your loss.
Love,
Donna, niece
We treasured our friendship with Dolph. He and Skip visited often and we loved spending time with them, we vacationed with them and had a wonderful time. We will always have our memories of times spent with him.
LOVE AND PRAYERS TO THE KRAUS FAMILY ❤️✝️⚽️
Uncle Dolph was a warm and caring person. He truly loved his wife and family. He really enjoyed boating and my parents, Omer and Dolores, loved going boating with them. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Uncle Dolph was a bright, warm, caring person who enjoyed talking about many subjects. He was both an intellectual and an athlete.
Mike spent much time discussing the topics of the day with Uncle Dolph and shared, with him, an admiration for Star Trek.
Dolph had a ready laugh and a keen wit.
Both Dolph and Irma are greatly loved.
Dolph will be missed. May he now be in heaven!
Love,
Mike & Marilyn Lupo
My husband and I worked with Dolph at the Museum of Transportation operating the miniature train. He was kind to me and had an old world gentlemanly manner about him. He also knew my brother Dan from the soccer fields of south St. Louis. Dan said he was a very good player and played a fair and legal game.
Dolph loved dogs, and he often brought his little dog, Duke, to the museum. Who can not help but think highly of a man who loves animals. Stan and I shared this mutual admiration of dogs with Dolph.

Dolph” is a St. Mary’s High School Alumnus, Class of 1956. On behalf of the faculty, staff, and the students of St. Mary’s, both past and present, we extend our most heartfelt sympathy to “Dolph’s” family and friends.
Also, know that we share in your sorrow and grieve for your loss. Special mention and condolences to “Dolph’s” classmates and to those students, who at one time or another, were either upper classmates or under classmates of his, and who may have known him personally or “of him” as someone they passed in the hallways, or maybe participated in some of the same extra-curricular activities that “Dolph” did from the time he enrolled as a Freshman in September of 1952 until the time he graduated as a Senior in June of 1956..
And although “Dolph” is gone from this life, his spirit has been and will always be here on the Campus of St. Mary’s High School; and just as it was in life since the day he enrolled and became a “Son of Mary”, daily prayers will continue to be said and daily masses will continue to be offered for him by the Brothers of Mary.
