Born October 25, 1957, entered his eternal rest on December 8, 2022.
Son of the late Leonard A. Kelley Jr. and the late Virginia L. Kelley. His family includes sister Monica L. Stevens, brother-in-law the late Rev. Randall C. Stevens of Martinsville, Virginia, brother Leonard A. Kelley III, sister-in-law Gwendolyn V. Kelley of St. Louis, Missouri, and loving partner Laura Maichel of St. Louis, Missouri.
Karl was an uncle to Laura Stevens, Daniel Stevens, the late Andrew Stevens, Benjamin Kelley, James Kelley, and Lauren Welker.
Karl was a sweet, kind, thoughtful, honest caring soul. A graduate of Lindenwood University where he developed a love for painting, was a successful artist, engaging conversationalist, passionate about the environment, politics, and music.
This child of God was a lifelong, active member of the Oak Hill Presbyterian Church and will be missed by his family, his partner and his many friends.
A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022, 2 p.m. at the
OAK HILL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

Oh, Laura, I am so sorry and I send my deepest condolences. I think of Karl every day and think of you as well. Funny little snippets of memory from that magical time in life continue to surface. He was one of my best buddies from that innocent and hopeful time.
Today, I spoke at length with a mutual friend and we shared our memories of Karl and consoled one another. I mourn as the world has lost a truly loving, kind, and good soul. The world is a lesser place without him in it.
I enjoyed FB conversations with Karl these past several years. It was so nice getting reacquainted almost 40 years after graduating high school together. Such a great sense of humor and an awesome artist! My love and thoughts are with Laura and his family.
I went to Lindenwood with Karl. He was a funny guy and liked to paint and listen to music. I was sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family and friends.
