Karagiannis, Amalia

88, passed away on October 11, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Dear wife of the late Petros Karagiannis; dear mother to Fotini (Evangelos) Pappas, Fran Karagiannis, and Voula (Petros) Kardakos; loving Yiayia and Big Yiayia to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Amalia was born in Fourka Konitsis, Greece to Dimitrios and Agoro Mokas. Beloved sister, dear aunt and friend to many. Amalia was a dedicated servant to her church and family. As the matriarch, her wisdom and humor will be missed. She will forever be in our hearts and minds.

Services: Visitation will be held at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 1755 Des Peres Rd, St. Louis, MO 63131, on Monday, October 15, at 9:30 a.m. followed by the funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Matthew’s Cemetery. Memorial  contributions may be made to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church or the International Institute of Saint Louis, 3401  Arsenal St, St. Louis, MO 63118.
