On Monday, October 26, 2015, at the age of 68 after a seven year survival of multiple myeloma. Caring wife of 43 years to Harry H. Cheatham and loving, protecting mother of Laura Marie (Tim) Brunsman of Fenton, Jennifer Marie (Bryce) Groark of Hawaii, Katherine Marie Cheatham (deceased), Matthew Thomas Cheatham, Brent Hacker Cheatham, and Craig Joseph Cheatham of Denver. By special affectionate bond, she also has a “daughter” in Demet Tunc of Brussels, Belgium. Loving grandma to Jessica Mary Brunsman and Jacob Thomas Brunsman; and “Banya” to Judith Akanai’i Groark and Shay Hacker Groark.
Preceded in death by her parents Thomas Wayne Bond and Hilda Mary (Schwent) Bond, of Crystal City, and a sister, Barbara Louise (Bond) Singleton of St. Louis.
Survived by her brothers William W. (Carol) Bond and Christopher M. (Jennifer) Bond, both of St. Louis, and sisters, Jane E. (Russell) Goff, Kathleen (Rob) Thomure, all of St. Louis, and Lisa A (Todd) Graham, of Nashville, TN, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Her family and friends admired her intelligence, enthusiasm for life, indomitable spirit, quest for fun, commitment to family, and extraordinary beauty and poise.
Services: Visitation from 3 to 6 PM, immediately followed by a memorial service from 6:00 to 6:30 PM on Thursday, October 29 at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Louis Zoo Association.
