Maggie Joyce, originally of St. Louis, died on June 14, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Maggie was born in 1960 and attended St. Joan of Arc grade school, Bishop DuBourg high school and the State University of New York at Purchase. At the time of her death she was a flight attendant for American Airlines. Maggie was preceded in death by her father John A. (Jack) Joyce and her mother Nellene C. (Zeis) Joyce, both former Aldermen for the City of St. Louis. Those left to cherish her memory include her longtime partner Robert Joyner, her sister Jennifer M. Joyce (Kevin Corcoran), and her brothers John P. Joyce (Karen) of Buffalo, New York and James E. Joyce of St. Louis. Maggie is also survived by her six nieces and nephews who were the apple of her eye and countless dear friends.
In keeping with Maggie’s wishes a memorial service will be held at Mid-American Buddhist Association (MABA) in Augusta, Missouri on July 9th at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome to join Maggie’s family and friends at this event. There will be no public visitation.
