Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Marie Jaeger (nee Hoff); proud father to Nancy (John) Quicke, Diane (Doug) Crawford, Matt (Christy) Jaeger, Linda (Mike) Hoffey, and Jim (Suzanne) Jaeger. Loving grandfather of Scott, Megan, Clayton, Nathan, Emily, Kelly, Mitch, Sarah, Calvin, Ellie, Chloe, Tyler, Michael, Lucas, Grant, and Savannah; great-grandfather of Mason, Connor and Helen; our dearest uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Art worked for close to 70 years as a salesman and as a PARE for Enterprise. He was a model of integrity for his family and those who knew him. Art enjoyed golf, playing bridge and loved watching the Cardinals and Blues.
Funeral from KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry, on Monday, November 8, at 9:30 a.m. to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment at J.B. National Cemetery. Visitation Sunday, 3-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Art was a man of principle and he believed in doing things the right way with a focus on Customer service. I enjoyed working with him at Enterprise
Art was a great guy. Enjoyed working with him. I did a lot of repair work at his home. May he rest in peace.
Had some good laughs with Art, even though he was mostly serious- minded we could make him laugh !
He was thrilled when he went zip-lining in his mid-80’s while on vacation with his family !
Art and Marie were the cutest couple and always so proud of their kids and grandkids. We know they are dearly missed and loved deeply by all. Sending our love to the entire family.
Art was a great seat-mate and mentor for the 3+ years we rode together with Enterprise. Went by the book and knew every rest area by mile marker in a two state area !!! Missed him when he finally retired, but very glad to see him leave to enjoy his remaining years. Art was one of a kind, for sure !!! Prayers to Art and his family !!!
Enjoyed the trips we made together at Enterprise. Talked books and life in general.Always kind and helpful to me. He will truly be missed
A man that I always admired and will miss. He was all business at work and did an excellent job. Although he worked only part time for Enterprise, he used strict work ethics of a full time job. After work, Art was a fun loving person that enjoyed socializing with his co workers. He was always worried about the safety of his drivers and was quick to defend them when they tangled with the office. Glad that I had the privilege to know him.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a great man and had the patience of a saint with the girls he coached in softball many, many years ago. My dad, Joe Kennedy, just passed away on October 31 at 95 years old. I hope they’re reliving old stories of their coaching days in Heaven now.
