Roxanne was a star athlete at Oakville High School and SIU Edwardsville. A longtime educator, she taught at St. Francis School, and in the Fort Zumwalt and Mehlville School Districts.
Services: Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Tuesday, January 18, 9:15 a.m. to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment St. Trinity Cemetery. Memorials to the Peregrine Society appreciated. Visitation Monday, 4-9 p.m.

Thoughts and prayers are with you all. Roxanne was quite the fighter and inspiration. I meet her through the Livestrong Program.
What an amazing person and what a remarkable life; I am blessed to have met Roxanne. We met at the LiveStrong at the YMCA program early in 2020. Roxanne’s positive, optimistic attitude impressed me. Her love for her family was apparent and she often spoke of all of you. She also loved her teaching career which I am sure made a positive impact on her students. She will be missed by many.

Roxsand was a rockstar and a fighter for her family! I remember when she coached Hannah in grade school and Hannah would have play dates with Amy. Hannah enjoyed hanging with Amy and Roxsand. I played sand volleyball with Roxsand and Scott for a couple years. We had a blast! Prayers for all of the family! Hugs to Scott, Amy, Jennie and Ryan! Heaven has a new angel! Scott and Family, Mr. and Mrs. Hake, and Hake family, I am unable to attend the visitation and Mass for Roxanne. I am so thankful that Roxanne and I were able to get together one more time, and even exchange several text messages. She left all of us with many wonderful memories and laughter. I grew up with the Hake family. Roxanne was a big sister to me and my idol. She took me to the New Kids on The Block concert twice. Many car rides singing to the radio, letting me play dress up in her room, all the things kids like to do. Then, she became my teacher in the 5th grade and I idolized her more. I’ll love you forever. I just heard of Roxannes passing. I was heartbroken to hear. My sympathies go out to Scott and her family. I played soccer with Roxanne at Oakville and knew her at St. Francis. She was an amazing athlete but above that an amazing human being. I’m certain She will be missed by many. RIP Roxanne
