St. Louis – Faithful Servant, Always Loved, Never Forgotten …

Mary Anne Hogrebe, faithful and devoted mother to Mark Hogrebe (Patricia), Anne (Calvin) Richardson, Dawn (Dan) Forst, and Stan Hogrebe.  Cherished grandmother to Paul Hogrebe, Luke (Kathleen) Hogrebe, Nathaniel (Ellen) Hogrebe, Philip Hogrebe, Julie (Steve) Treaster, Kim (Kenny) Bechaud, Renee (Evan) Fitzwalter, Mallory (Andy) Plungkhen, Hanna Smith, Ashley (Andrew) Kitson, Nicholas (Lauren) Hogrebe, and Madison Hogrebe.  Great-grandmother to 8 and beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, 61 years, Herbert Hogrebe (May 2014), her parents John (Ella) Joines, and three siblings, Sister Marthalene (Margaret Joines), Frances Bourgeois, and John Jr. (Bud).  Peacefully passed from her life here into her new heavenly home on December 14, 2022, at age 90.

Mary Anne was born and raised in St. Louis.  Foremost, she was a devoted servant of Jesus, faithful member of the Catholic church, loving wife and mother, and dedicated homemaker.  She enjoyed cooking, playing tennis and serving others.  She was pioneering in her daily attention to spiritual and physical well-being and the kindhearted love she shared so selflessly was a constant example to all those around her.

Visitation and Memorial Service Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123.  Visitation starts at 9:00 a.m. until funeral service at 10 a.m.  Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to: (checks) Society of St. Vincent de Paul, PO Box 3415, East St. Louis, IL 62203, or (online) svdpsouthil.org, Donate tab.  Donations directly help feed and house hundreds of local souls in need, every day.
