Passed away peacefully on Friday, March 5, 2021.He leaves behind many long-time friends and great neighbors. He is survived by his 3 children, Paige (Harris) and Paul, Mitch and Kathy Harmon, and Stacie Saunders, 3 grandsons, Kirtis, Connor, and Drake.
Jack was born January 29, 1929 in Idabel, OK. He grew up in Idabel, joined the Air Force, then graduated from OSU before moving to St. Louis in 1958. He worked for 30 years at DMAAC as a cartographer retiring in 1986.
He enjoyed many years playing softball, bowling, golfing, going to auctions and estate sales but he most LOVED to fish and enjoyed a good fish fry. He was an exceptional man, husband, father, granddad, and friend creating lasting memories for all to treasure.
There will be no formal services due to current restrictions. He will be together again with Norma at Jefferson Barracks Veteran cemetery in a private ceremony at a later date.
I am so sorry to hear this news about Jack. I taught at the beauty school where he would get his haircut. He lit up the room with his smile and he always gave me a hug when he got there and when he left! He will be missed. I know how much he missed his wife. He always mentioned her. I hope it brings some peace to all of you knowing that he is reunited with his love. I am so grateful to have met him. Sending a big hug to heaven for you Jack

We are so sorry to hear of Jack’s passing. He and Norma were really true friends and we will miss them both. Love that you included Norma in the picture. I have had the great experience of eating some of the fish that Jack caught and fried. For many years I had the pleasure of playing against and with Jack on the softball fields. He was a pretty good skier too. Rest in God’s eternal peace Jack and Norma.
We have so many wonderful memories of Jack, Norma and children through the years of softball, fishing, and golf adventures and trips. Wonderful times together.
My dear sweet Uncle Jack – you will be missed by so many of us. But, there are some who were happy, happy, happy to see him – Aunt Norma, Helene and Murphy, Nora & JT, Audrey & Herbert, Lee Roy and Rose, and sweet Elmer. I know Grandma Clement was especially glad – I remember when Norma brought Jack home to meet Grandma – she thought he was beautiful – as we all did. He was a man’s man – he loved to fish, bowl, golf…he also liked to cook (fry fish outside since he wasn’t allowed to “smell up the house” ) and so many other things. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a favorite uncle. I think there might be some thunder over the next few days – that’s the Clements welcoming one of their’s home.
I loved your Dad, he was always warm and welcoming and made everyone feel special. I have always been impressed with how close your family has been over the years. I am deeply sorry for your loss, I wish I could be there with you all.
The Doucet clan of Southwest Louisiana was sadden to hear of our Uncle Jack’s passing but ‘echo’ our Cousin Virginia (Pee-Wee) Halverson’s assessment of his Heavenly reunion with our Aunt Norma, his wife and the remainder of our large and wonderful family. We know that our dad Herbert and mom Audrey were also happy to greet/welcome him into HIS kingdom. He will be remembered! Paige, Mitch, Stacie (our first cousins) we love you and want you to plan to come down in July of 2022 for a large family gathering.

I am sorry hear of Jack’s passing. Jack was a wonderful person to everyone. We bowled against each other many a time. Whether his team was beating us or we were beating him we had a wonderful time. Just a super man to know. Love him. God Bless!
We are so sad to hear of Jack’s passing. We loved him and Norma so much. We have very fond memories of their bright smiles and love of life.
