Maurice was the beloved husband of the late Mary Hannan (nee Weinmann); dear father of Kathleen (Bob) Leverenz, and Michael (Dona) Hannan; adoring grandpa of Joe (Kelci) Hannan, Danny Hannan, Mark Leverenz, John (Sarah) Hannan, Michael Leverenz, and Kyle Hannan. Dear Brother of the late Paddy, Mary, and Joseph Hannan. He was also brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Maury was born in county Tipperary, Ireland, came to USA in 1955, Air Force veteran, married Mary Weinmann-Hannan in 1960. Maury was a dedicated husband, taking care of wife through Alzheimer’s until her death in 2019. He was a very dedicated sports fan, bicyclist, and car lover. Maury and Mary were that cute little couple that were always together.
SERVICES: Visitation and Funeral Mass on Thursday May 18, 2023, will be at his Catholic Church, Seven Holy Founders, 6737 S Rock Hill Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123. Visitation, at the church, begins at 9:00am, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10am. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, followed by a luncheon back at Seven Holy Founders Mary’s Room.

The Hannan’s held down the corner of Dallwood and Rayburn for many years. Their kindness to all was cherished, but never more than for our mom in her last years as their neighbor. They were an important part of many peoples’ lives on Dallwood . I am so glad to have known them. They will always be remembered with love. Kathy and Mike, and your families, my sincere condolences.
What a great man, husband, father, grandfather, and friend Uncle Maurice was. Maurice and Mary were so special and kind to me and my mom in the late sixties. They gave us hope when there was truly little to spare in Ireland. My deepest condolences on your great loss. M&M will be so delighted to be together again after so many wonderful years together. Sorry to hear of Maury’s passing. I worked with him in the 1990s. He was always willing to listen to my style of music which impressed me that an ‘old timer’ would listen to newer music. Many memories! Learned a lot from him.
What a great loss. Maurice was a hardworking and a trusted colleague who enjoyed life to the fullest. Always with a great sense of humor. I enjoyed working with him at Walker & Associates for many years. He loved football (American soccer) and his beloved Ireland. God bless Maurice’s family. My deepest sympathy for your loss.
