James R. Gunsaullus

On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at age 80, baptized into the hope of Christ’s resurrection.
Beloved son of the late Roland and Lillian (Hentrich); brother of Betsy (James) Wyrsch, much loved uncle of Julie Rios, Jackie Tiemann, Tracey Miesner, and Chris Hoell; beloved great-uncle, cousin and friend. Jim was a loving and generous uncle and great-uncle. He always had a willing ear (only on the left:)) and a kind heart. He loved his nieces and nephews and was always eager to hear about what was happening in their lives. He had a wonderful memory for facts and details. He was a life-long St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs fan, and an at-home, armchair investor! Since he didn’t cook, he was a devoted patron of local restaurants and loved conversing with the waitstaff.
Jim retired as Operations Director of the Heart and Vascular Institute from Alegent Health Care System in Omaha, NE. He will be missed by us all.
Memorial Mass, Tuesday, April 11, 2023, 10:30 a.m., at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, 4900 Ringer Road, St. Louis, MO 63129 with visitation at 9:30 at the church. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery Private.
Service: Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road.
