Honey and my mother, Ann Cresswell were telephone operators at the Potosi Telephone Company in Potosi Missouri back in the early 1950’s. My mother enjoyed working so much with Honey. Honey, my mother and Mrs. Anna Mae Cain were all operators when the big snow came at deer season in the early 50’s. The hunters were all stranded in the woods, some had made it back to Potosi and the telephone operators were busy ladies. That was when to make a telephone call, the caller had to call the operator to be connected to who they wanted to call.
