Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church Tuesday, October 4, 2022. Lane passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Son of the late Ralph and Leta Goddard; beloved husband of Karen Goddard (nee Bordeaux); loving father of Christopher (Cristina Blanco) Goddard; dear step-father of Sara (David) Dames and Stephen (Laura) Chapman; adoring grandfather of Elora, Alex, Leo and Max; our dearest brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Raised in Braymer, MO where he graduated as president of his high school class. He attended the University of Missouri – Columbia, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree. He went on to attain a Juris Doctorate (University of Missouri – Kansas City) and Masters Degree (University of Missouri – St. Louis), as well as own his own business. But he was most proud of getting his Private Pilot’s license.

Lane will be remembered as a sweet and kind man who made the best of any situation. His sense of humor and wit always kept us laughing. He used to be very active, playing tennis and having a good run daily. Besides his family and friends, his other loves included the Kansas City Chiefs, animals, and playing with the newest technologies. We have fond memories of his delicious BBQ.
