Beloved husband of Carolyn McDonald Gilmore (nee Jurick); loving father of Thomas, (Debbie) Gilmore Jr., Bob (Michele) Gilmore, John (Angie) McDonald and Cindy (Arthur) Eismueller; adoring grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 15; dear brother of Jacqueline (the late Elmer) Lehman; special friend of Christine Sexton. Our dearest relative and friend to many.

Thomas served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and fought at the Battle of Chosin Reservoir, where he was awarded the Presidential Citation Medal by Syngman Rhee President of South Korea. He was the Senior Commissioner of the St. Louis Soldiers Memorial, he was a member of the Korean War Combat Veterans, V.F.W. and the American Legion. He started Gilmore Electric Co. in 1974.
