Feicht, Eugene E. 87, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Monday,  October 17, 2016 at the Missouri Veterans Home after a long illness of Alzheimer’s.

He was born September 3, 1929 in St. Louis, MO and lived in Sunset Hills. He was the dear son of Frank and Mildred Feicht (nee Pudiwitr). Beloved husband of Lois Ann Feicht (nee Knobbe) for 65 years. Dear brother of the late Frank, Joan (late Tom) Stieren, the late Carol (late Art) Bonifer. Dear brother-in-law of Len (Helen) Knobbe, the late Jackie (late Tom) Beckerle, the late Ken (Pat) Knobbe and the late Vernon (Joyce) Knobbe. Loving father of James (Lynn), Cheryl (Jim) Van Hoogstraat, Nancy (Mark) Jaeger, Diane (Rich) Parshall, Kevin (late Mary), Anthony (Lisa). Dear grandfather of Jimmy, Kelly, Johnny, Christopher, Katie, Sara, Andrea, Natalie, Elizabeth, Emily,  Diana, Ben, Erin, Jake, Billy, Ellen, Anthony, Jr., Alex, Angel, Ashley and Audrey. Dear great-grandfather of Joe, Nick, Kody, Kaylee, Kory, Elliot, Bobby, Reinitz and Walker.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church as a child, a 1947 graduate of Southside Catholic High where he was a champion boxer and then entered the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He was an entrepreneur with his career choices. He owned and operated Globe-Democrat and Post-Dispatch paper routes, was owner of Gene Feicht Carpets, and owned and managed real estate property. He was very proud of his Catholic faith, a member of St. Catherine Laboure (SCL) Church for 58 years. He devoutly sent his six children through Catholic grade school and high schools. He was involved in SCL Scout Troop #646, a White House retreat captain attending 35 retreats, was an usher at Busch Stadium, the Fox Theater, ACES tennis matches at  Forest Park and sold papers on Old Newsboys Days. He loved playing tennis and spending time outdoors with his family at the Lake of the Ozarks and Turtle Creek Farm, fishing, hiking and hunting.

Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Cardinal Ritter Daycare and Missouri Veterans Home for taking such loving care of Gene.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois on Tuesday, October 25, 9:15 a.m. to St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may be made to EWTN, 5817 Old Leeds Rd., Irondale, AL 35210-2164, or masses may be offered.  Visitation Monday, 2-8 p.m.
