Everding, Melvin H. 99, Monday, September 4, 2017. Beloved husband of Ruth M. Everding (nee Obert) for 75 years; dear father of Joyce (Larry) Duchek and Barbara (Jess) Poplin; dear grandfather of Brian, Amanda, Beau, Robin and Ben; our dear great-grandfather of 6; uncle and friend.

Melvin served in the Army Air Corps during WWII as a Navigator in the 466th Bomb Group. He was a Purple Heart recipient and an Ex-POW. He was a 50 year member of the Gardenville Masonic Lodge #455 and a Scottish Rite Member. He was also a lifetime member of DAV and the Ex-POW, both in St. Louis, and a retired member of the Carpenters’ Union.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Monday, September 11, 11:30 a.m. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Ex-POW, 3201 E. Pioneer Pkwy., #40, Arlington, TX 76010 appreciated. Visitation Sunday, 3-7 p.m. with 6 p.m. Masonic Service.
