Beloved husband of Marie T.  Esswein; loving father of Denice (Bob) Kun, Karen (Rich) Meurer and Joe (Patti) Esswein; cherished grandpa of Michael, Melissa, Mark, Kelly, Emilie and Josie; great-grandpa of Jack; dearest brother of Ruth and the late Audrey, Ralph, Richard and Mary; our dearest brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Wilfrid proudly served his country in World War II and Korean War, both with the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Navy.

Services: Funeral at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Wednesday, December 9, 10 a.m. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to any animal charity of your choice. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 p.m.
