(nee Spies) went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the age of 95. Beloved daughter of the late Tillie G. Spies; beloved wife of the late Robert Ellis; cherished mother of Marsha Griffin, Karen (Ken) Bishop and the late Roger Griffin; dear grandmother of Chris Ewers, Clay (Jennifer) Ewers, Heather (Matt) Brennan, Kenny (Darlene) Bishop and Jennifer (Drew) Shelton;  dear great-grand-mother of Brenna, Melissa, Joe, Nicklaus, Christian and Kara dear sister of the late Richard Spies , dear  great-great-grand-mother , sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Marge worked at McDonnell Douglas for 33 years. In the first Ms. Senior Missouri Pageant in 1989 she received the Special Talent Award. A soloist for 23 years with the Twilight Singers. Volunteer for Society for the Blind, Meals on Wheels, County Older Resident Program, U.S.O., Oakland House , Affton Historical Society and Webster Groves and member of the Red Hat Society.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Friday, April 6, 10: 30 a.m. until service at 12:30 p.m. Interment Gatewood Gardens Cemetery.
