Paul J. Eckhoff passed away, along with his son, Colin, on Monday, June 28, 2021. He was born in St. Louis, MO to Mary Lou and Kenneth Eckhoff, and was a devoted son, father, brother, and friend.
Paul had a larger-than-life personality and a contagious smile that lit up the room. If you were lucky enough to be the recipient of one of his bear hugs, you could feel his passion for life. From football to power tools, he knew how to dream big.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth, and his brother, Keith. He is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Eckhoff; sisters, Peggy (Mustafa) Elbreki and Karen Eckhoff (Mike Gruenwald); sister-in-law, Sue Smith; daughter, Audrey (Mark) Henebry; son, Charles Eckhoff; grandchildren, Evie and Ian, along with nieces, nephew, and many extended family members and friends.
Services: Visitation at Kutis City Chapel, 2906 Gravois Rd., Tuesday, July 6, 11-1 p.m. with a service immediately following. Interment at the Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the GoFundMe account, Eckhoff-Henebry Family Fund, organized by Becky Class to support Charlie’s ongoing care needs or to the Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders at the University of Missouri.
A very sad day for me. I worked for Paul in Michigan and later after relocating to Texas, I helped Paul get a position with Victor. When my son was born, Paul made arrangements to visit in Texas and congratulate me on becoming a dad. He was such a good hearted person. Traveling in China, Paul introduced to many people that treated him not as just a businessman, but as a friend. Paul was genuine, authentic, loved to laugh, a good person all around. RIP The Big Truck!

Paul and I reconnected after 41 years a few weeks back, we had a great conversation and got caught up with life’s paths. Paul and I where roommates at Northeast Missouri State where it all started. May Paul and Colin RIP.
I worked with Paul for about 10 years in St. Louis. As many know, he was a big guy with a big heart and a big soul. I tried to help Paul with his son Charlie since I had a daughter with Autism and knew how challenging it is, especially to get help. But he also helped me when I was down as that was the kind of guy he was. I know he loved ALL of his kids with ALL his heart. Charlie lost his biggest champion and so many have lost a wonderful father, friend, coworker and teammate. RIP Paul and Collin. You will be so missed by so many!
Paul and I met at EMR, became good friends and remained friends after we each left for other career opportunities. I will always remember that Paul was a quick study and was always aggressive with his marketing plans, because he never wanted to be second in the market.
