Lawrence “Larry” Charles Eckhoff, 73, Foristell Missouri, passed away on August 4, 2020. The funeral service will be held at Kutis Funeral Home, Affton, Missouri, on Monday, August 10 at 9:00am, proceeding to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for interment.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 9, 2020 from 4:00 – 8:00pm, at Kutis Funeral Home in Affton, MO. Funeral arrangements by Kutis Funeral Home.
All visitors are required to wear a face mask or covering while in the funeral home, as well as follow all CDC and health department guidlines regarding COVID 19, including social distancing, hand washing, and staying home when not feeling well.
Larry was born in St. Louis City, he served as a Lance Corporal Marine in Vietnam, July 1, 1966 to June 28, 1968. Larry worked as an insurance salesman for Reliable Life Insurance company until retirement.
Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends, as well as, his Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) family. He was heavily involved and proud of his involvement with the VVA Chapter 1028, serving as Sergeant of Arms, while his health permitted.
Larry is survived by his grandchildren Cody Alexander Wiese, Hunter Lee Wiese, Levi Carter Eckhoff, Lane Bradley Eckhoff, his sister Janet Lee Hunnius, brother William Henry Eckhoff, Jr, children Christine Marie (Eckhoff) Lindsay, Bradley William Eckhoff and spouse Krystal Elizabeth (Ellermann) Eckhoff. Larry is proceeded in death by William Henry Eckhoff, Sr. and Ruth Lee (Peterson) Eckhoff.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may go to VVA Chapter 1028, 6026 Arthur, St. Louis, MO 63139. Envelopes will be available at Kutis Funeral Home.

Our father was a selfless human being that gave everything he could and had to the one’s he loved. He taught us to be strong, work hard, have morals, be respectful, follow the rules and always look your best. He was the best dad anyone could ask for, we will love you and miss you every day. St. Louis County requires all individuals to wear a face mask or covering at all times when in indoor facilities and outside when social distancing is not possible. The requirement applies to everyone over the age of nine (9). There will be limited exceptions to the order for certain circumstances, and health conditions.
I met Larry through his best buddy Tom Brophy. We had lots of good times together in our teen years. The Vietnam War came between us and I was so proud of him that he chose to serve and fight for our freedom. May you Rest In Peace, old friend.
