Beloved husband of Judy Eckert (nee Boehne); dear father of Douglas D. (Beth) Eckert and Vicki (David Breer) Manes; dear grandfather of 6 and great-grandfather of 3. Our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.
Services: Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Friday, May 7, 11:30 am. Interment St. Trinity Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, 5-8 p.m.
Please accept my condolences, and know that while he will be missed, he is in glory with his savior.
I served with Don on a Thrivent board and got to know he was a solid Christian as well as he was very competent at his job.
We are sorry for your loss, but rest in our hope in Heaven for Jesus sake.

I’m not looking for any money, or fame, or ANY tangible thing… of ANY kind. But my mother told me that “Ray” Eckert was my biological father.
My mother was part of the ELCA Lutheran church for her entire life, and never, ever lied to me OR had any reason TO lie. I grew up in Affton, Missouri and went to a Lutheran grade school. I always knew something felt a bit “off” with my life. My birthday is on 12/1/1962, and both my parents have since departed. My mother in December of 2012, and my father in 1997.
If this information doesn’t sound correct… please disregard. I’m just trying to know who my biological father is, or WAS, before I die in a couple of months.
