Remembering a Life

 February 23, 1935 – January 24, 2021(age 85), He passed away peacefully while on hospice at Garden View Care Center. He was a widow to Nancy S. Schuch (Haskins), who passed on March 22, 2003. They were married on May 5, 1962.
He was the middle child of 3 siblings to Charles and Mary Catherine Schuch. His siblings are youngest brother, Warren Schuch, and deceased older sister, Jean Wirfs (Schuch). He was a brother-in-law and an uncle.
He leaves behind his only child, Annette A. Limpert Schuch) and son-in-law, Daniel P. Limpert, His 3 grandsons, Matthew, Jeremy, and deceased grandson Alexander Limpert (passed away September 25, 2019).
He grew up in Affton, Missouri, graduating from Affton High School. He played basketball all 4 years and ran in track. Following high school attend Bob Jones College but decided to join the US Navy in 1956. After being honorably discharged after 2 years, he began to work with his father at a printing company. In 1960, he began working at Mallinckrodt, a chemical company, in the shipping and receiving department. He retired at the age of 55, never calling in sick one, He then started an interior house painting business until he and his wife both became ill with cancer. She had breast cancer and he had prostate cancer. He was able to fight it, but his wife did not. His cancer returned 13 years later which caused his death.
He and Nancy bought a house in Kirkwood, Missouri in 1962, where they live out their lives and raise Annette. In his active years, Donald enjoyed fishing, bicycling, hunting, bowling, golfing, hiking, and camping. His gift was as a watercolorist and Nancy was his muse. He produced some of the most beautiful watercolor nature scenes that will be with is he family for all time.
He leaves a legacy of honesty, integrity, loyalty, loving, kindness and a genuine gentleman. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
There will be no visitation due to COVID but a Jefferson Barracks Cemetery funeral where his ashes will be laid to rest with is wife. Date and time to be determined.
