It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John “Jack”F Dippel Jr, who passed away June 17, 2018 with his loving wife by his side. Jack was born August 21, 1939 in St Louis MO to John F Dippel Sr and Irene (Goldammer). Jack is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joan (Blume), his six children; John F Dippel III and Melissa (Muehlman) Dippel of Ballwin MO, Jill and Robert Edmundson of Ballwin MO, Cynthia and Darrel Lewis of Phoenix AZ, Marc and Katie (Poeppel) Dippel of Ballwin, MO, Todd Dippel of Ballwin MO, and Megan and Chad Strauser of New Haven MO.

Jack served in the US Navy on the USS Essex from 1961 to 1965 stationed in Rhode Island. After he finished his Naval Service, he moved his family back to Missouri, purchased their home in Ballwin MO where they have lived for the past 51 years. Jack had a long career working in refrigeration manufacturing with Southern Equipment and Duke Manufacturing, retiring in 2000. After retirement, Jack and Joan enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with their children and grandchildren.

He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren, Trey Lewis, Bobby Edmundson, Jessica Dippel, Kaycie (Edmundson) and Mike Deutchmann, Zach Edmundson, Nicole Dippel, Kaylea Lewis, Wessley Strauser, Jacob Dippel, Abbie Edmundson, Courtney Dippel, Aubrie Dippel, Sam Dippel, Joe Dippel, Olivia Dippel and Luke Dippel. His 2 Great Grandchildren Zoie Dippel, and Peyton Dippel.

Jack was proceeded in death by his parents, John and Irene, his sisters Laverne Chartrand and Mary Liebman, his brother Carl Dippel and his grandson Kyle Strauser.

Jack was a faithful Christian and worshipped at St Joseph’s Catholic Church of Manchester.

Services will be held at St Joseph’s Catholic Church 567 St Joseph Ln, Manchester MO 63021, Thursday June 21, 2018 at 9:30 am and the funeral will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery
