Passed away peacefully on Friday, February 24, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born September 5, 1936. Beloved husband of Charleen M. Diers (nee Rumpf): dear father of Thomas, Michael, and David (Sharon). Wonderful grandfather of 6: Alexandria, Sydnie, Tanner, Grace, Andrew, and Faith, dear brother, uncle, and friend to many.

Gene grew up in St. Louis, MO. He served in the Army from 1956-1958. Gene and Char were married for 64 years.  They enjoyed traveling, having visited all 50 states and multiple foreign countries.  He was an avid trout fisherman and golfer, and lifetime serving member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Arnold MO.

Services: Memorial Service will be on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 10:30am at St John’s Lutheran Church, 3715 Jeffco Boulevard, Arnold, MO 63010.  Visitation beginning at 9:00am at St. John’s.
