Denzel, Charles W., Baptized into the hope of Christ’s Resurrection peacefully on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 81 years. Beloved husband of Jane Denzel (nee Bannes) for 57 years; loving father of Mary (Jeff) Sundermeyer, Cathy (Jeff)  McDougall, Donna (Michael) Brooks, John Denzel and Lisa (Mike) Eaton; dear grandfather of Molly (Cory), Matt, Justin, Chris, Taylor, Joe, Heather, Abby and Rachel; dear brother of Jerry Denzel and the late Gene (Helen) Denzel; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, special friend of the Nguyen Family and close spiritual friend of many. Preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Christine Denzel.

Mr. Denzel was born in St. Louis; was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, a St. Louis University graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers. After retiring, he became a volunteer at St. Anthony’s Cardiac waiting room, deGreeff Hospice House, St. Louis County Police, was a Fox Theater usher, served lunch with the Sisters of Charity and served breakfast with the St. Michael and St. George group.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Wednesday, June 7, 9:30 a.m. to St. Matthias Church for 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials to deGreeff Hospice House or the White House Retreat appreciated. Visitation Tuesday, 4-8 p.m.
