END OF AN ERA

94, of St. Louis went to be with Our Lord the afternoon of Friday, October 14, 2016.

Marian was born in St. Louis to George and Ida DeMenil. With  Marian’s passing, this ends an era of one of the oldest and prominent founding families of St. Louis.

Marian graduated from Roosevelt High School, she went on to Maryville College of the Sacred Heart (Maryville University), where after graduation she began her teaching career in math. Marian received her Ph.D from St. Louis University. As a professor of math, she continued her teaching career at Maryville until she retired years later. Also, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Marian is preceded in death by her parents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Marian is survived by her cousins, Nancy Good, Robert Good, George and Mary Good Wedel and Ruth McDowall, as well as other extended family.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois, Tuesday, October 18, 11:00 a.m. until service at 12:30 p.m. Interment Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the  DeMenil House Foundation  appreciated.
