Beloved wife of the late Jerome “Jerry” Daues of 61 years; dearest mother of Jerry A. Daues; dear daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline Krauska (nee Tucholski); sister of the late Theresa Telthorst, Leonard and Eugene Krauska; our dear aunt, cousin and friend of many.
Lois attended Cleveland High School where she excelled in academics and sports. She was in the Junior and Senior Choirs, received the Athletic Award, was a Football Maid, and was the Vice-President of the Class of June, 1949. In addition, she was voted “Best Personality (girl)”, “Most Popular Girl” and “Best All-Around Girl” for her graduating class.
Professionally, Lois worked as a senior secretary for Monsanto Chemical Company. She was the first passenger in the first Corvette ever produced using plastics developed by her Polymer and Plastics Division at Monsanto.
She was an incredible wife to Jerome “Jerry” and mother to Jerry. She loved to dance, fish and play golf with her husband, an avid sportsman. She was involved in Boy Scouts and all sports activities with her son Jerry. Lois was a caring person and always worried about others rather than herself. She had great empathy and was always praying for others who needed them. She was a great listener and would be happy to provide advice when needed. Lois loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Blues, football, golf and other sports. She was a natural at golf and never had any formal lessons. Lois also loved shopping, watching the St. Louis Blues practice at Centene Center, and going to the Art Museum with her son. She loved to travel, especially to Phoenix, Arizona to enjoy the desert southwest lifestyle.
Visitation Friday, June 11, 9:30 a.m. until Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church, 403 N. Main St. (O’Fallon). Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Paralyzed Veterans of America and Guiding Eyes for the Blind and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. A KUTIS AFFTON SERVICE.

So sorry to hear what happened to your mom. My condolences and prayers are for you and your family. Your mom was such a great neighbor for the past seven years. She was very kind to me and of course of my son Garrett. I know she always happy to see him outside playing.
