Beloved wife of the late George Curran; dearest aunt of Anne (Matthew Gurlitz) Barthel; dear sister of the late Joan Barthel; dear sister-in-law, cousin and friend of many.

Judith was born in Lemay, Missouri, attended Notre Dame High School, and graduated from St. Louis University with a degree in psychology. She moved to New York City and worked at The New York Times for over 40 years. After moving back to St. Louis in 2012, she volunteered with Catholic Charities St. Louis, where she received a Cardinal Rigali Service Award for her work, as well as the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, the St. Louis Public Library and other charitable organizations.

Visitation Tuesday, April 25, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd. Service Wednesday, April 26, 9:30 a.m. at Mother of Good Counsel Home, 6825 Natural Bridge Rd. (63121). Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Mother of Good Counsel Home.
