Wow. My condolences to his family.
We are in shock. Words will never be able to let you know what a Wonderful person you were and always will be. We have known you and Gen since 2003’. We just saw you about 3 weeks ago.

My heartfelt condolences to Jen and the boys. Our son’s first job was at Iron Barley as a dishwasher. He learned quite a lot about the honor of hard work and ate well too. One our favorite New Years memories was one spent in a special dinner celebration.
He was generous to the community, often feeding his neighbors when the restaurant was located in Mount Pleasant, fundraising for schools like Lift for Life,. The music with the food where inside or on the patio, was always a sublime experience.
It truly is a loss. I’ll bet the BBQ in Heaven just got a whole lot better. RIP.

You were such an influence on me with brewing and cooking. People will never know what they have missed if they never rubbed shoulders with you.
The STL beer festivals we did together will never be forgotten. Words can not explain to your family and friends what you did and meant to me. My thoughts, words and prayers are with you and your loved ones, hoping the love of all you touched eases the pain of those you loved and touched. RIP

Tom, you were really larger than life. Aaron and I always enjoyed our time with you as you were getting tattooed, or at your phenomenal restaurant. Truly a “good ol’ boy” in the best way. We were shocked to hear of your passing. God bless your soul, may He watch over your family. I pray your wonderful wife and sons find comfort in knowing how loved and admired you were. Always quick with a story and making people smile was your nature. You will be so missed.
Gen, It breaks my heart to know Tom is no longer in physical form. His larger than life spirit will live on forever. I met Tom back in the 80s at Fraziers Brown Bag, then had the good luck to be his Bud rep for many years. I grew up with Tom I was a year older we had alot of good times when we were in our teens I remember when he was 15 i taught him how to drive in a 1 ton ford truck he bought in the the church parking lot with a 4 speed miss you Tom

Dear Gin, Such a shock
to hear about Tom. My prayers are with you and the family
I have been Blessed to have called Tom my Friend for about 52 years. Never short for words always so creative even if we did get in trouble for some of his ideas. He was as genuine as he was generous. He would give anybody the shirt off back and think nothing of it. He was a Master at his craft and worked tirelessly to get there !! I will miss that smile and gravelly voice but the memories will always be with me. Godspeed my Friend Until we meet again !! Praying for Gen and the Family for some Peace in this time of Sorrow !!

I am extremely sorry for being late, but I just learned of this terrible loss!! I am beyond shocked, grief strick, & lost for words on the passing of Tom! My heart & prayers go out to you all. I’ve know you all since I was 5 or 6 years old, & how close we all became as a God’s family. I’ve seen all of your boys grow up & how my (late) mom & dad and Tom & Gen took us kids to Florida in 1991. Tom & Gen you all loved my family like your own & we loved you more! The beautiful memories we shared together was priceless & will forever be cherished. St. Louis will never be the same again without this delicious food, Tom’s special beer, his kind heart to so many who idolized & worshiped this amazing man I was so lucky to have known. Tom, us Grgić’s will forever miss you, THANK YOU for everything you did for my family, now, you’re an angel along with my mom & dad watching over all of us! I love you all so very much, God Bless you!
